“This is not the place to come to, it's the place to go from”

We will foster the unconditional loving kindness, and unrelenting compassion needed to create a community of kinship such that God might recognize it as his dream come true –where we are one; no “us and them”, just “us”.

Imagine a circle of compassion and imagine nobody standing outside that circle.  And so, we need to help dismantle the barriers that exclude –to stand at the margins (because it’s the only way they'll get erased).  

We’ll stand with the poor, and the powerless, and the voiceless; with those whose dignity has been denied; and those whose burdens are more than they can bear. 

We’ll experience knowing what it's like to stand with the easily despised and the readily left out. God does not share in the demonizing that people engage in; so, we’ll stand with the demonized so that the demonizing will stop. 

We’ll stand with the disposable so that the day will come when we stop throwing people away.

We’ll go to the margins, but not to make those at the margins different (because then it’s about us); we’ll go from here so that the people at the margins make us different and thus, through our unconditional kindness, unrelenting compassion, and love we’ll create a community of kinship!
